About our Program
ADULT FORMATION COURSES
Adult Catholic formation classes are offered each year through our Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) courses. Holy Cross provides preparation courses in both English and in Spanish.
2025/2026 OCIA PROGRAM
- This year’s course will begin September 8th and meet Monday’s from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Registration is from June 30th to July 31st. Forms are available at the parish office.
Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA)
- OCIA is a community process of catechetical, spiritual, and educational formation for adults who seek to become full members of the Roman Catholic Church through a conversion of the mind and heart. OCIA is for the following adults 17 1⁄2 years or older (senior year of high school):
- Any person who has never been baptized
- Any person who has been baptized in another Christian faith and would like to covert to the Roman Catholic faith. Any person who was baptized Roman Catholic but never received the sacraments of First Holy Communion and/or Confirmation.
Documents Needed for Registration:
If you have been Baptized in a parish other than Holy Cross Parish, please obtain your Baptism Certificate with Notations.
A First Communion certificate is required for the Sacrament of Confirmation if Notations are not noted on your Baptism Certificate.
**Please provide a copy of your Birth Certificate.
