Holy Cross CCW’s Mission Statement is “to support, empower and educate all Catholic Women in Spirituality, Leadership and Service and to live out the Gospel Message in a modern society”
Membership is open to all Catholic woman. When you join the Holy Cross CCW you also become a member of the Venice Diocesan CCW (VDCCW), a member of the Florida CCW (FCCW/Province of Miami) and a member of the National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW). It Is a nationwide organization with thousands of councils that represent millions of Catholic women.
Programs: Our programs respond to the needs of our church, our local community and the world.
We promote a community of God’s people who are educated and dynamic in their faith. VDCCW has a yearly retreat during Lent, and we have speakers to challenge who we are as God’s people. All that we do we try to do with love to live out the gospel message.
We give support to our members through public relations, training, and attending personal development programs offered by VDCCW. We pray for each other and support each other in our journey in life.
We support local charities and have events to include ALL of the parish. We had a Valentine Dance for single/widowed people along with couples. We recognize that there are many elderly and widowed people in our parish and offered a fun night for everyone.
Our Goals are:
- To serve the parish with our time, talent and treasure.
- Participate in local events of the CCW and participate on the National, State, Diocesan and Deanery levels.
- Carry out the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.
