A Blessing of grounds dedicated to Holy Cross Parish at Groovers Funeral Home at Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton was celebrated on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 12:00 Noon.
Parishioners, friends and the staff of Groovers Funeral Home gathered for the invocation led by Reverend Fr. Teofilo Useche. As part of the ceremony Fr. Teo blessed the grounds with holy water. Also blessing some of the deceased loved ones as he walked.
Following the blessing, Holy Cross parishioners and friends enjoyed a refreshing luncheon inside the Funeral Home chapel.
Mansion Memorial Park is a historic, 150 year old cemetery situated on former Gamble Plantation grounds. Holy Cross parishioners may now benefit with grounds dedicated to Catholic families and members of our parish.
